About James Livingston
MDiv, MA, LCPC, BC-TMH
James Livingston MDiv, MA, LCPC, BC-TMH is a mental health therapist with many years of experience in private practice. James is fluent in Spanish. He holds a Master’s in Divinity from Mount St. Mary’s Seminary and a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Franciscan University of Steubenville. He also completed advanced graduate studies on the fundamentals of prayer, discernment/spiritual direction, and Theology of the Body at Creighton University. James has worked in various mental health settings, including as an in-home family therapist and counselor in outpatient and partial hospitalization programs.
James provides individual, marital, and family therapy and addresses a variety of diagnoses, including anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive and related disorders. His approach is Christ-centered and incorporates solutions focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and many other modalities, to treat his clients. James has completed advanced training through the Gottman Relationship Institute and is a Board Certified-TeleMental Health Provider (BC-TMH).
